Method of displaying content contains the following steps: multiple interfaces are displayed corresponding to several respective application programs, wherein the first interface represents an immersive work table, which includes at least one window interface and taskbar; the first content through the first immersive interface and the second content through the second immersive interface; receive initiation of user selection through the first part of the gesture for presenting of the third interface within the multiprogram environment, which corresponds to the previously used application program; presented in the response image which is the third interface over the multiprogram environment; it is determined based on the second part of the gesture, which accomplishes a user selection, selection of the first or second area in which there must be the third interface, while the second part of the gesture is indicated by displacement of the said image at the first or second area.

EFFECT: technical result is ensuring control of applications in a multiprogram environment by edge gestures.
