FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses a candle, giving a coloured flame, and its manufacturing method. Candle giving coloured a flame includes a body and wick, wherein said candle body comprises following components in terms of total weight of said candle body: main combustible agent 60-100 wt%, an amide of higher fatty acid 0-15 wt%, triglyceride of higher fatty acid 0-15 wt%, dye agent 0-10 wt%, where total content of components of said candle body is equal to 100 wt% and where wick is pretreated with dye agent so that it includes a dye agent, wick has length exceeding that of candle body, where surplus part is immersed into melted mixture candle body, so that it contains a mixture of candle body and a dye agent included in candle body, if it exists, is same agent that is used for pretreatment of wick, where said main combustible agent represents tri-C1-8-alkylcitrate. Invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a candle, which gives a coloured flame, comprising: 1) forming a homogeneous molten mixture of components to create a candle body, casting resulting molten mixture into a mold containing a wick, which comprises a dye agent incorporated pretreatment with said agent, and leaving unaffected length of wick, corresponding to desired fraction, cooling and then extracting from mould and immersing remainder of wick in candle body molten mixture, so that it comprises a mixture of a candle body, and cooling to obtain final product; or 2) forming a homogeneous molten mixture of components to create a candle body, casting resulting molten mixture into a mould containing a wick, which comprises a dye agent incorporated pretreatment with said agent, and a molten mixture of candle body, introduced by a subsequent immersion in it, and is left untouched wick length corresponding to desired percentage, then cooling and extraction from mould to obtain final product.

EFFECT: candle wick of present invention can easily ignite, gives a large flame after ignition, emits simultaneously with a coloured flame after ignition, is hard (not disintegrate) and has a pleasing appearance, has a colour that is consistent with that of candle body, burns without giving dark smoke, does not grow mouldy during storage.
