FIELD: candles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for making candles for household and industrial purposes. A method for producing a candle is proposed by pouring a candle mass of stearin and paraffin into a preheated mould, in which the wick is placed in advance, the mould with the candle blank is cooled, then the candle blank is dipped into a molten layer of coating made of polyethylene wax and paraffin or stearin and the first one is formed on the candle blank protective layer, then shock cooling of the candle blank with the first protective layer is carried out, then the cooled blank with the first protective layer is re-dipped into the molten coating layer of polyethylene wax and paraffin or stearin and a second protective layer is formed on the candle blank, after which shock cooling of the blank is carried out with double protective layer, whereas the coating layer comprises 1.0-5.0 wt. % polyethylene wax, the rest is paraffin or stearin.

EFFECT: increase in the strength and reliability of the protective layer of the candle.
