FIELD: technological processes; food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system-complex electrocoagulation treatment of drinking water from natural underground and surface sources, characterised by high content and seasonal fluctuation of content of mineral and organic contaminants in a wide range of concentrations. Complex system electrocoagulation treatment of drinking water is realised in a modular station containing series-arranged functional modules: module of preliminary cleaning and degassing of initial water, module of circulating water conditioning, module for complex electrocoagulation treatment of water, module for cascade clarification and purification of water, module for fine finish treatment and disinfection of water by means of continuous control of technological processes of removal suspended contaminants from water, free carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, volatile smelling substances, water saturation with air oxygen, water conditioning by circulating mechanical-chemical disaggregation colloidal and hydrate-associated contaminants with simultaneous feeding of sodium chloride, alkaline or acidic agents, which provide optimum value of conductivity and pH of water, degree of oxidation of contaminants. Method then includes complex electrocoagulation, electrochemical and electromagnetic treatment of conditioned water in an electrocoagulator with soluble electrodes made from high-purity aluminium and cleaning said electrodes, removing mineral and organic substances converted to insoluble state during cascade water clarification with provision of organised movement of purified water, first from top to bottom, then, bottom-up and fine finish treatment by filtration with final decontamination by UV radiation.

EFFECT: high quality of drinking water with preservation of useful mineral content.
