SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to magnetic particle Imaging (MPI) means. Device comprises selection means comprising a selection field signal generator unit and selection field elements for generating a magnetic selection field having a pattern in space of its magnetic field strength such that a first sub-zone having a low magnetic field strength where magnetisation of magnetic particles is not saturated and a second sub-zone having a higher magnetic field strength, where magnetisation of magnetic particles is saturated are formed in field of view, drive means comprising a drive field signal generator unit and drive field coils for changing position in space of two sub-zones in field of view so that magnetisation of magnetic particles changes locally. Drive field signal generator unit is adapted to provide a time-dependent oscillating drive field current per drive field coil, each drive field current having one or more individual oscillating frequencies and one or more individual current amplitudes and being generated by a corresponding drive field voltage per drive field coil. Each drive field voltage is generated by a superposition of a number of drive field voltage components including a drive field voltage component per drive field coil, which comprises one or more sub-components, having individual voltage amplitude and having same individual oscillating frequency as respective drive field current of said particular drive field coil. Method for magnetic particle exposure is carried out using said device. Drive field signal generator unit is designed for use in said device.
EFFECT: use of inventions enables to control frequency and beat duration for optimisation of signals at input and output of amplifiers.
