SUBSTANCE: controlled shunting reactor relates to power industry. Reactor comprises in each of three phases (1, 4, 5) two windings (2, 3), which by one lead are combined with windings of other phases in two stars, between zero leads of which is connected exciter (8), two ground throttles (10 and 11), each of which is connected to neutral leads of stars and ground (9). Novelty is that compensation winding is connected to shortcircuiter (14), connected in pre-startup period and subsequently disconnected.

EFFECT: technical result is improved reliability.
