FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and is used in power systems. During network switching and lightning, overvoltages pass through the parasitic capacitances of the windings (1, 2), which have the same direction in both poles. But they are weakened by the throttle (5). Therefore, the rectifier (3) is more effectively protected from overvoltages. In addition, the half-windings of the CSR phases, due to partial discharges, create pulsed currents in the common wires. Statistically, these discharges in half-windings (1, 2) and phases do not coincide in time.
EFFECT: common mode choke (5) attenuates partial discharge currents, which reduces their effect on the degradation of insulation properties and life.
