FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst supports and can be used for producing catalysts for liquid-phase oxidation, in particular, for cleaning process condensate in production of ammonia and its reuse instead of fresh demineralised water. Described is a porous catalyst support made from titanium powder in form of a ring. Walls of support are permeable mainly in radial direction, on surface of particles forming three-dimensional permeable liquid flow pore space, there is a titanium oxide layer with thickness of not less than 80-100 nm. Average pore size dav of sintered support correlates with average particle size Dav in range dav/Dav=0.08-0.20. Initial powder of titanium - spongy, produced by magnesium thermal reduction.
EFFECT: simple technique of producing support, high adhesion of oxide layer on surface of pores, higher reliability and service life.
