FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of cold-rolled mill products for baling band manufacturing. Higher mechanical properties, their stability and homogeneity along the whole strip length is provided by the fact that the method involves hot rolling of a strip from steel with regulated composition, its spooling, etching, cold rolling, heat treatment, according to which the workpiece temperature prior to the finishing train is maintained within the range of 1,050-1,200 °C, the hot rolling is performed with the total relative reduction of not less than 90 %, the temperature of rolling end and spooling is kept within the range of 810-880 °C and 480-570 °C respectively, the cold rolling is performed with the total relative reduction of not less than 62 %. Steel strip has ferrite-cementitious structure with non-recrystallised ferrite grain and the ratio of σh/σv not less than 0.70.
EFFECT: production of baling band.
