FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means intended for insulation, attachment and fixation of conductors of high-voltage circuits from metal, reinforced concrete, wooden structures and used in special premises at impact of pollutants in form of dust, vibration and temperature drops. Suspended insulator is made in form of chain consisting of links made in form of tubular cylinders and made from high-strength dielectric to external surfaces of links attached metal fittings with taper bushes, which are intended to reduce drain current density, from inside links of elements of metal fittings for protection against dust are covered with dielectric caps with plugs. Design of suspended insulator allows increasing electric strength by building up of links.

EFFECT: technical result is exclusion of destruction of insulator under action of vibration loads and ambient air temperature drops, increased current leakage path and thereby reducing probability of overlapping of insulator; increased interval between time of scheduled maintenances of insulator.
