FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the insulator a bushing is set to the assembly fixture bolt and the bushing is made of dielectric material without inner and outer thread, at that the bolt with the bushing on it is placed to an opening in the grounded load-bearing structure which diameter is increased per doubled thickness of the bushing wall, between the assembly fixture bolt head and the bushing head of dielectric material there is a metal washer of the assembly fixture and an auxiliary metal washer with a metal wire conductor in-between, the wire end is connected by several turns to the assembly fixture bolt while its other end through the failure indicator is fixed by a bolt joint at the grounded load-bearing structure and between the insulator case and the grounded load-bearing structure there are current-conducting and dielectric gaskets respectively with coaxial openings having diameter equal to the diameter of the assembly fixture bolt; the area of current-conducting gasket is more than the area of the insulator case basis but less than the area of dielectric gasket, at that the failure indicator is made as a wire conductor, which surface is coated with heat-setting ink or as a conductor of steel wire with node to which loop a dielectric flag is inserted, at that cross-section of steel wire is determined by single-phase current value and steel wire melting when this current value is passed through it.

EFFECT: reducing time for failure detection and continuous diagnostics of the insulator.
