FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmology, and is intended for surgical management of massive hyphema, occurring in the anterior chamber of eyeball after surgical interventions. Recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) in a dose of 25 mcg/0.1 ml is introduced into the anterior chamber. 40 minutes later after the introduction dissolved blood is washed by washing the anterior chamber by means of salt solution BSS, after that, TPA is introduced once more into the anterior chamber in the same dosage and the operation is completed.
EFFECT: method ensures successful resorption of massive hyphema for a shorter period and simultaneously ensures resolution of the blood clots which are behind the iris.
