FIELD: radiochemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for denitration of medium-and low-active liquid radioactive wastes to undergo further hardening (cementing). Method comprises removal of excess amounts of nitric acid by reacting liquid radioactive wastes with oxalic acid on a solid-phase catalyst in dynamic mode in a temperature-controlled column of continuous action. Invention reduces residual concentration of nitric acid in a solution after denitration to 0.1-0.5 mol/l.
EFFECT: reduced residual concentration of nitric acid.
