FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of three-layer metal hollow panels for connection with vessel hull in designing, for example, bulkheads, recesses, decks, cockpit walls and decks of ships. Hollow metal panel consists of outer shells and arranged in between inner metal stiffening ribs. Prior to welding outer shells with ends of inner metal stiffening ribs at each side ribs are welded metal end face element in form of a strip, tee, angle swage or channel intended for connection with vessel hull. Welding of internal stiffening ribs and end elements with outer shells is performed by friction welding with mixing or laser welding.
EFFECT: method enables to create a full-strength connection of a three-layer structure with main body at their welding across generatrix of inner ribs and reduce labour intensity of its production.
