FIELD: metallurgy; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to complexes of metals and catalyst systems for producing olefin oligomers. Described is a method for oligomerisation of olefins, which involves contact of metal-containing compound containing chromium, diphosphino aminyl ligand and metal alkyl containing aluminoxane, to produce a mixture. Molar ratio of metal in metal alkyl and metal in metal-containing mixture is from 100:1 to 3000:1. Mixture is held for at least 20 minutes at a temperature of 10-130 °C substantially in absence of an olefin monomer to produce maintained mixture. Mixture is held in contact with olefin monomer. Olefin oligomer product is obtained at temperature 0-150 °C. Absence of an olefin monomer means that molar ratio of olefin monomer and metal-containing compound is not more than 5:1. Described is a method for reduction of polymer formed during oligomerisation of olefins and method of producing maintained catalyst system.
EFFECT: improved efficiency and selectivity of catalyst system, as well as reducing amount of polymer obtained during oligomerisation of olefins, due to maintenance of catalyst system.
