FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to support insulators of railway transport. In the support insulator, including a body of the insulator with fittings for attachment of an electric apparatus and the support insulator, a support of the insulator, a fastener of the insulator support to insulator body (1), fitting (2.1, 2.2) of the insulator body is made in the form of two coaxially arranged junction plates with internal thread with extending round end surfaces. Insulator support represents flange (3), and the insulator support fastener to the insulator body is threaded rod (4) screwed into the insulator body fitting with a specified torque. Herewith preliminarily one end of the threaded rod is connected with the flange in such a way, so to ensure disconnection of the rod and the flange when a specified stretching force in the connection is reached.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at the design simplification of the support insulator body and the insulator support connection, improved manufacturability, hydrophobic properties and repairability.
