FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental traumatology and orthopaedics and can be used for simulating successive application of transosseous and intramedullary osteosynthesis. Fixator is inserted into the proximal fragment of the tibia between the pins of the base support of the apparatus for transosseous fixation; its diameter corresponds the diameter of the narrowest part of the marrowy canal of the rabbit tibia. Fixator is passed through the graft with manual control of position of the bone fragments till the distal locating support. Pins are removed from the bone holding supports as internal fixation device is passed. Remaining outside the bone portion of the intramedullary fixation device is shortened. Fixation in the apparatus is maintained with four pins in the base supports imitating blocking of intramedullary fixation device.
EFFECT: method enhances simulation in small animals, reduces injuries, reduces the risk of infectious complications.
