FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: intramedullary rod is introduced antegradely (or retrogradely) and blocked proximally (or distally) according to a static pattern. An external fixation device is mounted so as to avoid contact of the intramedullary rod and transosseous elements used. A femoral osteotomy follows. After that, a device operating on the basis of passive computer navigation is installed. In the postoperative period, after control X-ray imaging, corrections are made with the exception of the intramedullary rod seizure, for which during correction calculations, the distal fragment is displaced step-by-step along the trajectory corresponding to the femur curvature. Elongation is performed according to the pattern calculated in the "SUV-Software". When the necessary elongation is achieved, the intramedullary rod is blocked distally (or proximally) and the EFD is dismantled.

EFFECT: efficiency of femoral bone extension over the intramedullary rod is increased by eliminating rod jamming in the medullary canal.
