FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biotechnology. Invention discloses a vaccine composition suitable for systemic administration for animal protection against clinical disease, arising from infection with Bordetella bronchiseptica, and methods of supporting canines and animal protection against such clinical disease by systemic administration of vaccine composition. Vaccine composition comprises live ARO-mutant strain Bordetella bronchiseptica and a flavouring additive containing tyrosine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, para-aminobenzoic acid and 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid. Additionally, vaccine composition can include influenza virus antigen canids and/or parainfluenza virus antigen canines.
EFFECT: presented vaccine composition is safe and effective, and contains reduced number of living attenuated bacteria, and can be used in medicine for systemic administration for protection against clinical disease, arising from infection with Bordetella bronchiseptica.
