FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, particularly to working members for control and protection of nuclear reactors on fast neutrons (FNR). Working member for reactivity compensation of control and protection system in fast neutron reactor consists of sleeve, rod element with neutron retarder, rigidly fixed on central axis of sleeve, and absorbing element with circular section, made movable in gap between inner wall of sleeve and rod element with neutron retarder.
EFFECT: technical result is decrease of inequality of nuclear fuel burning, and increased efficiency of its use with simultaneous increase of compensating capacity of working members and increase of FNR campaign duration.
