FIELD: radio engineering and communication.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed are methods for signalling enhanced dimensions for formats of frames of medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (MPDU), aggregated MPDU (A-MPDU) and MAC aggregated service data unit (A-MSDU). First method proposes to modify current IEEE 802.11n specification for resolution of longer MPDU in A-MPDU. Present method reuses IEEE 802.11n signalling format and engages reserved bits for transfer of new information, i.e. indicate that maximum length of MAC RDU (MPDU frame), A-MRDU or A-MSDU respectively 4,095 bytes, 64 KB and 7,935 bytes. Second method provides a new signalling mechanism for transfer of extended dimensions for MPDU, A-MPDU and A-MSDU by element of possibility of very high throughput (VHT). One or more bits can be added in field separator.
EFFECT: increased throughput capacity.
