FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to measurement equipment, namely to angular acceleration sensors, the principle of operation of which is based on electromagnetic induction law. Angular acceleration sensor with liquid rotor has sensitive element and toroidal housing filled with liquid. Detecting element 1 of sensor is cylinder 3 made from dielectric material in form of orifice with confuser and diffuser in which metal electrodes E1, E2 are placed diametrically opposite. Exciting coils OV1, OV2, which are powered by stabilised bipolar current, are placed at top and bottom in plane perpendicular to plane of electrodes. Toroidal housing is connected coaxially to cylinder 3. Formed annular cavity is filled with working fluid with defined electric conductivity and viscosity, e.g., water. Electric signal proportional to acceleration is taken from electrodes E1 and E2 and transmitted to selective amplifier measuring device. From measuring device output signal is given proportional to angular acceleration.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing sensor sensitivity and wider range of angular accelerations measurement.
