FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: method of measuring flow rate of electro-conductive liquids relates to instrument making, namely to equipment for measuring flow rate of conducting fluids with the help of electromagnet flow meters. Method is implemented by means of pipeline primary converter of flow rate with excitation windings of the magnetic system. There are two diametrically opposite electrodes in the pipeline. Distributors of excitation windings is driven by program-controlled source of bipolar pulse current. Signal from the electrodes, proportional flow is supplied to measuring amplifier, converted into digital code in ADC and fed to processor. Processor on a defined algorithm uses the controller to control the feed current source. Output signal proportional to feed current, flow rate Q and not depending on electric processes on electrodes is removed from resistor R, connected in series in power circuit, converted into digital code in ADC and fed to the processor. Processor generates a signal proportional to the flow rate in digital form.
EFFECT: possibility of creating electromagnetic flow rates with high accuracy in wide range of measuring flow rate.
