FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for prediction of clinical course of atrophic anaemia following Splenectomy index of ratio of mass of CD4+ and CD8+T-lymphocytes. Method consists in the fact that after splenectomy the spleen weight is defined, number of CD4+ and CD8+T-lymphocytes is calculated in histological sections of the spleen by morphometric dissection, weigh ratio index CD4+/CD8+T-lymphocytes (WRI) is defined by formulae. Spleen WRI values > 1.0 prognosticate a favourable clinical course of atrophic anaemia, and ≤ 1.0 - unfavourable clinical course of the disease.

EFFECT: using the declared method enables more effective prediction of clinical course of atrophic anaemia following splenectomy.
