SUBSTANCE: method of an activating device and a radio beacon operating when searching for injured people under rubble relates to ensuring safety of works in mining industry and can be used to locate personnel under rubble in mines. Novel of the method of searching for injured people under rubble is that all the personnel of the mine is equipped with beacons built in the battery unit of a mining lamp, and a search group is organized, which is equipped with a device for activation of the radio beacons and with searching devices. Herewith the activation device drives a variable low-frequency magnetic field with a frequency variable for a short period of time, with a preset power and a preset code of radiation, for example, radiation-pause-radiation. This encoded variable magnetic field is caught by a coil with a ferromagnetic core of the mine personnel beacon and at the very first exceeding a certain threshold level of the received and the amplified signal the radio beacon timer is started, which counts time intervals for radiation-pause-radiation and sends corresponding signal to the decoding device input, where the signal from the threshold device output is also sent. If the code of transmission coincides with the received code, a variable low-frequency magnetic field with another frequency is excited and the radio beacon is searched for. Probability of false triggering of the beacon is sufficiently low since the probability of occurrence of a pulse interference with the same time, amplitude and frequency characteristics that those of the encoded signal of the activation device is virtually equal to zero.
EFFECT: inefficient power consumption of the accumulator battery of a mining lamp caused by false triggering of the radio beacon, is almost absent.
