SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic power engineering, specifically, to ion-exchange treatment of boron-containing water in a system for recovery of boric acid of coolant at a NPP with WWER type reactors. Method of removing boron-containing concentrate in a boric acid recovery system at NPP comprises successive filtration of boric concentrate, coming from evaporator at temperature 60-80 °C, on ion-exchange filters, loaded with hydrogen form of carboxylic cationite based on cross-linked polyacrylate, hydrogen form of sulphocationite and form of a free base of a low-basic anionite with groups of benzyldimethylamine type.
EFFECT: invention reduces amount of ballast salts, supplied to radioactive concentrates of NPP with spent regeneration solutions, and drastically reduce non-production losses of boric acid.
