FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing boron-containing radioactive solutions formed during operation of nuclear power plants (NPP). Method of recycling boric acid used at nuclear power plants to control the intensity of a chain nuclear reaction consists in the fact that boric acid is purified from metal radionuclides using ion-exchange resins. Boric acid solution is then cleaned from anionic complexes of antimony and/or silver radionuclides with selective sorbents. Commercially available borate product is obtained from the obtained radiochemically pure solution of boric acid.
EFFECT: invention provides recycling of boric acid after its use in technological processes of NPP operation, namely manufacturing of commercial borate products corresponding to all criteria for borate materials used in industry.
