FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing highly efficient oil-soluble hydrogen sulphide scavenger. Disclosed method involves reaction of a separate secondary amine and a separate aromatic aldehyde or mixtures of separate aromatic aldehydes, wherein separate secondary amine used is dimethylamine in gaseous form.
EFFECT: method enables to produce an end product with concentration of 90 % or higher and considerable reduction of water effluent, directed for recycling.
