SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method of controlling fuel-air ratio in combustion of ground coal in a firing system of a coal-fired power station. Power plant comprises means for pneumatically conveying ground coal to burners of firing system and means for supplying air for combustion to burners or into furnace of firing system. In power plant quantity of air for combustion and quantity of carrier air are controlled. Measurement of quantity of air for combustion and measurement of quantity of carrier air is carried out according to a correlation measurement method by means of analysis of electric signals generated by means of sensors located in air flow. Device for measuring quantity of air comprises a correlation measurement device that evaluates signals generated by electrostatic induction on two sensors arranged one after another in air stream, in air flow direction.
EFFECT: higher reliability of control of ratio of fuel and air.
