FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymerisation of conjugated dienes. Method of producing polydiene includes steps of: (i) providing a conjugated diene monomer; (ii) loading catalyst system based on nickel in conjugated diene monomer, wherein said catalyst system based on nickel represents a combination or a reaction product of (a) nickel-containing compound, (b) an alkylating agent and (c) source of fluorine, wherein molar ratio of alkylating agent to nickel-containing compound ranges from approximately 10:1 to approximately 50:1, wherein molar ratio of fluoride source to nickel-containing compound ranges from approximately 70:1 to approximately 130:1; and (iii) loading modulating Lewis base in a conjugated diene monomer for polymerisation thus conjugated diene monomer in presence of modulating a Lewis base, wherein said step loading of modulating Lewis base is carried out separately from said step of loading nickel-based catalyst and said step for providing a conjugated diene monomer, loading of catalyst system based on nickel and loading Lewis base provide producing polymerisation mixture containing less than 20 wt% organic solvent in terms of total weight of polymerisation mixture, where said step of loading catalyst system based on nickel in conjugated diene monomer is carried out before said loading step modulating Lewis base in a conjugated diene monomer, the said step loading of the modulating Lewis base is performed before 5 % conjugated diene monomer is polymerised, or where said step of loading of modulating Lewis base in a conjugated diene monomer is carried out before said step of loading of nickel-based catalyst system in a conjugated diene monomer, and (iv) maintaining polymerisation of conjugated diene monomer with degree of conversion of less than 15 %, polydiene has content of cis-1,4-links at least 97 %, content of 1,2-links less than 1.0 %, molecular weight distribution less than 3.0, Mooney viscosity (ML1+4@100 °C) less than 60 and gel content less than 20 % by weight.

EFFECT: technical result is conducting polymerisation to obtain polymers which do not contain gel or gel content less than 20 % by weight.
