SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for bulk polymerisation of conjugated dienes using a nickel-based catalyst system. Method of producing polydiene, which does not contain gel, comprising step of: polymerising a conjugated diene monomer with a nickel-based catalyst system, where said step of polymerising takes place within a polymerisation mixture that includes less than 20 wt% of organic solvent based on total weight of polymerisation mixture, where temperature of polymerisation mixture during said polymerisation step is maintained below 25 °C, and conversion of conjugated diene monomer is maintained below 12 %, wherein said nickel-based catalyst system is a combination or a reaction product of (a) nickel-containing compound, (b) an alkylating agent and (c) fluorine source.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a polymer without gel with high content of cis-1,4-bond, method does not require use during polymerisation of chain-terminating agent.
