FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied to electrical engineering. Device for protection of DC power supply comprises comparator on operational amplifier (2), in positive feedback circuit of which is connected resistor (3), reference voltage source (4), corresponding outputs of which are connected to power supply, to comparator (1), to load, to grounding bus (5), resistive voltage divider (6), which includes series-connected trimming resistor (7) and constant resistor (8), transistor switch (10), connected to output of comparator (1) and with load, source of which is connected to current-measuring resistor (9), appropriate leads of which are connected to grounding bus (5), to power supply. Device also includes peak detector (11) including at input diode (12), cathode of which is connected with parallel-connected capacitor (13) and discharge resistor (14), extending grounding bus (5), and anode to output of resistive voltage divider (6). Peak detector (11) may include at input additional inlet operational amplifier (15), ensuring high thermal stability of operation threshold of comparator. Device makes it possible to automatically disconnect power supply load in case of overload in it and short circuit and automatically connect power load after elimination of overload or short circuit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of operational reliability of DC power supply.
