FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electronic ballast scheme includes power coefficient correction scheme, amplifier and control scheme, ballast controller scheme and ballast driver scheme. Ballast driver scheme includes resonant circuit connected to a lamp and firing voltage limitation circuit, which regulates operation mode of resonant circuit. Overcurrent sensor circuit may be connected for indirect control of the ballast controller scheme by amplifier and control scheme. In firing voltage limitation circuit varistors are used to change resonance frequency of resonant circuit in order to limit voltage for a lamp.

EFFECT: improving operational efficiency of electronic ballast.
