FIELD: aerodynamics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental aerodynamics and can be used for analyzing the characteristics of aircrafts. Method for gas preparation for analyzing it in hypersonic wind tunnel, including heating of required amount of gas to braking temperature T0 and passing of gas at required braking pressure P0 and braking temperature T0 through aerodynamic jet; at the same time two portions of gas are heated to different bulk temperatures in two gas heaters. In the first - to maximum temperature T1, which is possible due to gas heater design and which is higher than braking temperature T0 (T1>T0); in the second - to temperature T2, lower than braking temperature T0 (T2<T0). Then the portion of gas are mixed behind the gas heaters and passed through a leveling gas heater and directed in to aerodynamic nozzle of wind tunnel. Disclose is a device for gas preparation for investigations in hypersonic wind tunnel, which contains sources of working gas, main, additional and leveling gas heaters, mixing chamber, control system to control flow of gas via gas heaters, aerodynamic nozzle, working part and exhaust system.
EFFECT: technical result - possibility of increasing flow rate and heat power of working gas flow through hypersonic wind tunnel and wider range of operating modes.
