FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering physics, particularly to thermophysical investigations in aerothermodynamics and material science, and can be used in investigating heat exchange of samples of high-temperature materials. Disclosed is a method of conducting high-temperature tests in a wind tunnel, which consists in heating a model in a high-temperature plasma flow of the wind tunnel and measuring brightness temperature of the model at maximum heating mode. At that, in wind tunnel working chamber system of reflectors is additionally installed, maximum possible part of heat flux is sent to the model, a new value of heat flux is calculated from the obtained new value of brightness temperature and analysis is carried out at the achieved higher value of heat flux to the model.
EFFECT: use of the method makes it possible to increase specific heat flow to the model without increasing the power of the high-frequency generator.
