ORTHOPAEDIC APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61F5/00 A61F5/01

Abstract RU 2595478 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and is intended for bracing children with infantile cerebral paralysis (ICP) followed by deformation of the foots, pathological plants, wandering of an ankle joint contractures, combined with hip joint pathology, and also at a number of locomotor pathologies at the level of distal departments of the lower limbs. Orthopaedic apparatus consists of the sliding bar to the ends of which are connected by means of elastic elements the cages of right and left hip. Sliding bar is composed of two rods made from titanium alloy, connected among themselves by the guidance mechanisms. To the rod by means of fastener connection are attached side sliding bars, lower ends of which are connected by fasteners with lower sliding bar, ends of rods have a sphere made from elastic polymer material. Spheres are installed on the base with through cross-shaped hole and fixed on it be the arc-shaped bracket, attached to the base in screw pair and fastening bolt. Spheres, bases and arc-shaped brackets form units of spatial control. Each base of units of spatial control is connected by means of fastening elements to the posterior calcaneal region of sleeves section of right and left foot. Each sleeve of the foot by means of polymer elastic hinges is connected with the sleeve of the shin. Shin and foot sleeves are made in the form of spatial shape, enveloping shin and foot, and are made of thermoformed composite material.

EFFECT: invention enables to carry out the complex treatment of children, affecting ankle and hip joints, at that the effect of treatment is carried out at the same time both on the ankle and hip joints, taking into account their biomechanical interrelation.
