SUBSTANCE: method for decoding encoded video, wherein encoded video bitstream is received; at least one from coding units is determined using division information retrieved from bitstream; information on conversion index is retrieved from bitstream, indicating whether current level conversion unit, included into coding unit of at least one from coding units, is divided; when information on conversion index indicates division of current level conversion unit, then current level conversion unit is divided into conversion units of lower level; and when information on conversion index indicates no separation of current level conversion unit, reverse conversion is performed upon current level conversion unit for generating residual data corresponding to current level conversion unit.
