FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a session initiation means, providing the possibility of multiple connections in the file system and receiving transport information. Request is received from an application for server message block (SMB) session initiation between a client and a server. First means of transportation is selected to transfer commands between the client and the server. First connection is established through the selected first transportation means. Established first connection is bound to the initiated session. One or more available transportation means is determined able to establish the second connection between the client and the server. Second means of transportation is selected to transfer commands between the client and the server. Second connection is established between the client and the server, herewith this establishment includes sending a request from the client to the server and the request includes a binding flag, which orders to attach the second connection to the SMB session. Established second connection is bound to the initiated SMB session and the command received from the application is sent through the established connections bound to the SMB session.
EFFECT: technical result is providing selection of the fastest connection.
