FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to radioisotope energy and can be used in power plants intended for long-term autonomous operation in remote and sparsely populated areas of the Earth, as well as in the space environment. Proposed device comprises a closed gas-dynamic circuit with working gas-xenon, a radioisotope radiator, photo- and thermoelectric converters, heat-eliminating plates and a radiator. In the photoconverter the energy of light quanta emitted by the working gas at its alpha- or beta-radiation is partially converted into electric energy. Due to availability of the closed gas-dynamic circuit and the thermoelectric converter the heat energy released in various structural units of the generator is also partially converted into electric energy. In the gas-dynamic circuit an impeller can be placed connected to the electric generator.
EFFECT: increased total efficiency of the nuclear battery.
