FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to rail transport and can be used for repair and maintenance of complex mechanical objects, e.g. locomotives, vessels, as well as in automated systems of centralised control of rail transport. System consists of centralised traffic control systems, stationary and portable automated systems of technical diagnostics and multipurpose onboard microprocessor control and diagnostics systems that collect data on technical condition of its assemblies and operating modes from sensors of locomotive into a distributed database. Additionally, it is equipped with a system of low level servers, each using its own ICS, automated system of technical diagnostics or microprocessor control system (AWS MCS); the high level server receives information on an incident in a unified format, which enables to manage the life cycles of incidents, while the gathered information is used to address the causes of incidents after they have been dealt with.

EFFECT: to increase the reliability of diagnostics.
