METHOD TO CONTROL OPERATION OF SUBMERSIBLE ELECTRIC PUMP Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F04D15/00

Abstract RU 2595828 C1

FIELD: engines and pumps, measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring, diagnosis and optimisation of the electric submersible pump (ESP) operation. Proposed method comprises collection of data characterising condition of ESP inside the well or the condition of the well, and further storage of measured data; comparison of model of nodular analysis of the well with the well by comparison of one or more simulated values with appropriate measured data; identification of one or more possible states of ESP based on, at least partially, the data formed by the compared model of nodular analysis; updating of the compared nodular analysis model for reflection of the selected correction of one or more possible identified conditions; formation of multiple performance curves of ESP using updated compared model of nodular analysis and providing a user with an action, recommended to achieve efficiency of ESP matching the operating point of ESP and selected from one of multiple ESP performance curves.

EFFECT: shorter time for diagnosing and provision of recommendations on selection of optimal operation modes of ESP.
