SUBSTANCE: method involves the following: two data processing devices, which are subscribers of a bus exchanging messages via the bus, while sent messages have a logic structure corresponding to ISO 11898-1 standard on CAN protocol; the said logical structure includes a frame start bit, an arbitration field, a control field, a data field, a cyclic redundancy code field, an acknowledgement field and a sequence of frame end; the control field includes a code of data length containing information on the length of the data field, characterised by the fact, that, depending on data length code content, CRC field in transmitted messages can have at least two different numbers of bits.
EFFECT: higher reliability and speed of data transfer.
