SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of data transmission and can be used for serial data transmission in the bus system comprising at least two data processing devices which are the bus requesters and communicate messages via the bus, the messages sent having the logic structure corresponding to the standard ISO 11898-1 for CAN protocol. In the presence of the first switching condition, the data field in the messages can comprise more than eight bytes, unlike ISO 11898-1 standard on the CAN protocol, wherein for determining the data field size in the presence of the first switching condition, the values of the four bits of the data length code are interpreted, at least partially, otherwise compared with the ISO 11898-1 standard for CAN protocol.

EFFECT: invention provides increased throughput capacity and data transmission rate.
