FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tobacco industry, to technology for production of flavoured tobacco for hookah. Method of preparing tobacco for hookah includes grinding of tobacco leaves to the size of not less than 1 cm2, hydrothermal processing, dried to 20 % moisture content, splitting the splices, preparation of a mixture of initial components, including solution of a food flavouring agent, their mixing with tobacco storing a homogeneous mixture and packaging, wherein tobacco raw material used is strips, tobacco leaves plates without veins, hydrothermal treatment is performed by way of maintenance of ground strips in water with temperature of 50-60 °C for two hours tobacco:water ratio of 1:20, squeezing, and in mixture components are represented by glycerol, natural ingredients: beet molasses, honey, all components are thoroughly mixed to homogeneous mix.

EFFECT: technical result is production of flavoured tobacco for hookah of improved quality due to introduction of mixture of natural ingredients and reduced toxicity of tobacco by using scientifically sound parameters of its hydrothermal treatment for reduction of nicotine content in tobacco and hookah smoke.
