FIELD: test and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control instrumentation and can be applied to systems for monitoring and control of mobile objects, as well as in security alarm devices. Angular position sensor includes hollow spherical housing partially filled with fluid and accommodating electrodes, electrically connected to current terminals fixed in housing; while in housing, made with electro-conductive inner spherical surface, spherical body of dielectric material is fixed upon terminals concentrically to inner surface; electrodes are made as six identical in shape and area conductive areas, equidistantly placed on outer surface of spherical body, thereof each is electrically connected to corresponding current terminal; at that, between conductive areas on spherical body, projections isolated from each other are made, dividing inner cavity of sensor up to inner surface of housing so that gaps are formed, providing for fluid flow at changing angular position of sensor, wherein liquid has high dielectric permeability.
EFFECT: technical result is increased sensitivity, simplified operation, and wider field of use of angular position sensor.
