METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF HYSTEROMYOMA REGRESSION Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2596093 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynaecology, vascular surgery. Angiography is performed by means of W-ray contrast urografin or ultravist during embolization of uterine arteries, at the rate of 1 ml/s, volume of 4-6 ml and simultaneous frame by frame shooting at a rate of 2-4 frames per second. At that, starting from the arterial and ending with parenchymal stage of contrast survey, two parameters are estimated: number of branches in myoma and area supplied by one vessel. Area of myoma supplied by one vessel is calculated by formula. When the number of vessel branches supplying myoma is equal to 18.91±1.70, area supplied by one vessel is equal to 141.67±13.09 mm2 the high degree of hysteromyoma regression is predicted. When the number of vessel branches supplying myoma is equal to 10.36±1.04, area supplied by one vessel branch is equal to 329.47±38.10 mm2 the low degree of hysteromyoma regression is predicted.

EFFECT: method enables objective assessment of efficiency of the proposed method of conservative treatment, predicting change in the patient's quality of life and possibility of planning pregnancy based on expected extent of hysteromyoma regression.
