FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrostatic sprayers and methods of their application. Electrostatic sprayer comprises a spraying point for electrostatic spraying of a substance by means of electric impact on the substance and a spraying electrode electrically connected with the spraying point. Sprayer also comprises a control electrode, arranged so, that when voltage is applied between the spraying electrode and the control electrode, the substance to be electrostatically sprayed is sprayed from the spraying point. Besides, the sprayer comprises a power supply source, which applies voltage between the spraying electrode and the control electrode. Power supply source monitors electric property of the spraying point and adjusts voltage, which must be applied between the spraying electrode and the control electrode, in accordance with the monitored electric property of the spraying point. Spraying electrode and control electrode are additionally arranged in such a way that electric charge of the substance to be sprayed from the spraying point is equalised by at least equal value of opposite electric charge on the control electrode. Power supply source monitors current in the spraying point by measuring current on the control electrode. According to the second version, the electrostatic sprayer comprises the first spraying point and the second spraying point, while the substance is to be sprayed from both of them. Besides, the sprayer comprises the first electrode electrically connected to the first spraying point and the second electrode electrically connected to the second spraying point. Sprayer comprises a power supply source for applying voltage between the first electrode and the second electrode. First spraying point and second spraying point are arranged in such a way that during spraying to provide electrical effect on the substance to be sprayed. Substance is stored in the respective first and second reservoirs. When voltage is applied between the first electrode and the second electrode, the substance stored in the first reservoir is sprayed from the first spraying point. Substance stored in the second reservoir is sprayed from the second spraying point. First electrode and second electrode are arranged so that electric charge of the substance to be sprayed from the first spraying point or the second spraying point is equalised by at least equal value of opposite electric charge. Electric charge shall be performed in the first spraying point or the second spraying point respectively. Power supply source monitors current in the spraying point by measuring current on the control electrode.
EFFECT: possibility of changing arrangement and configuration of electrostatic sprayer being low-cost and simple-design.
