FIELD: electrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical protection of metal objects from corrosion. Method involves application of steel coating on protected elements of the turbine and cathode protection of total protective potential value within the range of (-1.5 V) to (-2.5 V) relative to copper-sulfate electrode comparison by means of electrochemical system consisting of an external DC source and graphite anode electrodes, arranged and fixed in concrete well in water at a distance of 400-500 m from the turbine hydraulic unit in the coastal zone or in suspended structure on posts in water at a distance of 400-500 m from the turbine of hydraulic unit in coastal zone, either in water using suspended structure fixed on a building wall, in which a hydraulic unit, at the distance of 25-30 m from the drain unit hydraulic unit is located, wherein simultaneous removal of harmful effect of cathodic polarization on adjacent structural elements of hydraulic unit is carried out.
EFFECT: technical result- is effective protection from corrosion and cavitation destruction of impeller with blades of turbine hydraulic unit, wherein monitoring efficiency of cathode protection and removal of harmful effect on adjacent cathodic polarization steel structural elements of hydraulic unit is taking place.
