SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. Power supply signal generator supplies power to drive at least one light source. Power supply signal generator includes: current stabilizer connected in series with at least one light source and circuit for driving to the required parameters configured to receive alternating supply voltage with primary frequency of about 50 to 60 Hz, and also configured to drive to the required parameters received alternating supply voltage to supply power to at least one light source, wherein voltage driven to the required parameters has non-zero constant component of current and variable component of current, wherein the absolute value of variable component of current at frequency which is four times higher than the primary frequency exceeds the absolute value of variable component of current at the primary frequency, as well as exceeds absolute value of variable component of current in the second harmonic of the primary frequency.

EFFECT: reduction of visible light flicker.
