FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to firefighting equipment and is intended for detection of fire hazardous situation at earliest stages of development. Electric induction fire detector comprises a measuring amplifier, information processing unit, power supply unit, high-voltage pulse generator and measuring line. Measuring line consists of a gas duct, made of dielectric material and having a rectangular section, and aerosol booster. Dielectric gas duct consists of charging chamber and measuring chamber with induction electrode. Charging chamber can be configured for implementation therein of barrier discharge by two flat metal electrodes, installed on outer sides of upper and lower faces of dielectric gas duct one below another, wherein one of electrodes is connected to high-voltage pulse generator, and second is grounded.

EFFECT: simplified design and reduced dimensions of fire detector, longer stability of its operation, reduced power consumption, required for charging aerosol particles, high reliability of determining fire hazardous situation.
